Product Description Technical Information Download

Mixing high-viscosity fluids is carried out in most chemical processes of various industries. For instance, materials are mixed chemically and in terms of temperature in polymer industries such as polyethylene. In this industry, oxidants and pigments with low viscosity should be mixed with polymer materials.

Other industries such as creams, lotions, and shampoos also deal with mixing materials with high viscosity. The quality of mixing in these industries is directly related to the quality of products.

Fluids with low viscosity can easily reach high uniformity and homogeneity by a variety of turbine in reservoirs.

The impellers, which have a small distance from the wall of reservoir, should be used to achieve a high uniformity in the laminar flow regime. The anchor and helical ribbon impellers are some examples which mostly sweep away the tank wall and creates good mixing.

This type of impeller is mainly used for fluids with a viscosity range of 20,000 to 25,000 Pa.s.

The flow pattern of this type of impeller is up to down on the wall, and down to up in the middle of impeller.

When there are both turbulent and laminar flow regimes in a reactor, this type of impeller can be used for both of them. It should be noted that these impellers have low shear rates.
